Lookingglass Theatre Company presents the return of signature Lookingglass production Lookingglass Alice, adapted and directed by Ensemble Member David Catlin from the works of Lewis Carroll, produced in association with The Actors Gymnasium. Artistic Associates Lauren Hirte and Lindsey Noel Whiting both return to share the role of Alice. Lookingglass Alice runs now through February 15, 2015 at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. Cleverly adapted from Lewis Carroll's classic books, this musical is now being scheduled for performances in schools, theaters, production houses and community centers throughout the United States through June 2015.

Danny Elfman's Music from the Films of Tim Burton explores the collaborative relationship between music and storytelling, and the process and importance that this has in filmmaking. Composer Danny Elfman and visionary Hollywood filmmaker Tim Burton have created a unique concert experience, blending music and visuals to celebrate the nearly three decades long partnership of two of Hollywood's top creators. Conducted by Jason Hiester, this live concert features Danny Elfman's famous film scores brought to life on stage by the Columbus Symphony, enhanced by visuals on the big screen of Tim Burton's original film sketches, drawings, and storyboards. Please note: Danny Elfman and Tim Burton will NOT be present at the concert.

Quintessence Theatre Group continues its fifth season of progressive classic theatre with Simon Reade's stage adaptation of Lewis Carroll's ALICE's ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND. Last Christmas Quintessence took you on an adventure across the English countryside and into the wild wood. This year we will venture down the rabbit hole. A theatrical event for the whole family, Quintessence's special brand of imagination theatre will take you on a whirlwind adventure with Alice and allow you to escape the holiday madness in Wonderland. Bringing together the best professional actors and designers from Philadelphia and across the country, Artistic Director Alexander Burns leads this collective of artists on a mission to ignite the classics through visceral, actor-focused and text-driven productions. ALICE's ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND will begin previews on Wednesday, December 10 at 7pm and open on Saturday, December 13 at 7pm. Wheelock Family Theatre opens its 34th season with ALICE, a musical reimagining of Lewis Carroll's classics, ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND and ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS. WFT veteran Andrew Barbato wrote the adaptation and directs the production featuring a garden of flower buds played by children who may one day follow in his footsteps, as well as some perennials on local theater stages who deserve to have more than a few bouquets tossed their way. From seedlings to adolescents to full-grown, the vibrant members of this ensemble are all ready to embark on the journey with Alice, down the rabbit hole and wherever it may lead.

New KC Ballet Season Premieres with ALICE (in wonderland) Tonight

?The 57th season of Kansas City Ballet will commence with the Kansas City Premiere of Alice (in wonderland), choreography by Septime Webre and music by Matthew Pierce. The production runs today, Oct. 10-19 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and will be accompanied by Kansas City Symphony conducted by Kansas City Ballet Music Director Ramona Pansegrau.
