Coming off an explosive 2012 summer season as TV One's most watched reality series, R&B Divas has been renewed by the network for a second season and begins production in Atlanta this month. The show, which followed Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert-Daniels, Monifah Carter, Syleena Johnson and Keke Wyatt working together to produce a compilation album, will return featuring the original cast in spring 2013 with an eight-episode order. Based on its success with the format, TV One will spin-off a second series, R&B Divas: LA (working title), which will follow the lives and careers of five yet-to-be-named Los Angeles based R&B performers with an eight-episode order slated for Q3 2013.
Lifetime has picked up Preachers' Daughters, an all-new family docusoap that will follow the lives of teenage pastors' daughters and their watchful parents as they balance the temptations of adolescence with the expectations of following household beliefs. The announcement was made today by Rob Sharenow, Executive Vice President, Programming, of Lifetime Networks.
Red Sea Media has assembled a robust slate in the last few months, including two new projects that the sales company has acquired worldwide sales rights for.
