Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters will host the 15th annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, sponsored by the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and additional sponsorship by the New York Times, BARKS will take place on Saturday, July 13 in Shubert Alley, the heart of the Broadway Theater District (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenues). The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m.; celebrity presentations of pets from animal shelters citywide will take place between 5-6:30 p.m. This year, BARKS will open the show with a performance from the Jersey Boys followed by the Broadway debut of many adoptable animals presented by stars from this season's 'hottest' shows.

In this week's edition, we caught up with Lesli Margherita, who is starring as 'Mrs. Wormwood' in Matilda- currently playing at the Shubert Theatre.

This year's BROADWAY BARES will feature special appearances by 2013 Tony Award winners Judith Light (The Assembled Parties) and Billy Porter (Kinky Boots), Tony and Olivier Award winner Alan Cumming (Macbeth), and musical performers The Skivvies (Nick Cearley and Lauren Molina). Bravo TV host and executive Andy Cohen will announce the winners of this year's Strip-a-thon online fundraiser at the midnight performance.

Block,Bobby Creighton, Andy Karl, Jessie Mueller, and Betsy Wolfe all grabbing the mic separately and together with a live performance of their YouTube hit, 'Bustle Fluffah!' Drood composer/writer Rupert Holmes then surprised everyone by singing his #1 hit, 'The Pina Colada Song!' (Lucky audience members won the new Drood cast recording, too.) 2013 Tony nominees will be celebrated this month at Jim Caruso's Cast Party tonight, May 20 at 9:30pm at Birdland Jazz Club.

The cast and creators of the Tony nominated musical Hands On A Hardbody were cheered and celebrated when they performed at Birdland on Monday night during the weekly Jim Caruso's Cast Party open mic extravaganza. Co-writer Amanda Green (Tony-nominated for her Hardbody work, as well as Bring It On), Tony nominee Keala Settle, as well as Kathleen Monteleone, Jim Newman, and Jay Armstrong Johnson all sang from the show, guaranteeing some future record sales just from the few hundred folks enjoying Cast Party.
