After a recent standing-room-only performances at the famed Gardenia in Los Angeles, Pat Whiteman reprises her new cabaret act 'The Mood I'm In' with one performance only on Saturday, October 9th at Arthur Newman Theatre in The Joslyn Center Theater in Palm Desert. Broadway's Jason Graae directed Ms. Whiteman's act, which is part of the Les Michaels Cabaret Concert Series, which has been running here since July and will continue through December. Born in Trenton, NJ, Sammy Williams toured in shows in upstate New York before making it to Broadway in 1973. While dancing in 'Seesaw,' a show by Broadway powerhouse Michael Bennett, Williams was picked for a group of dancers to participate in and be filmed, candidly discussing the trials and tribulations of life in the theater. What Williams didn't realize was that Bennett planned to turn the material into a history-making production called 'A Chorus Line.'

Fortunately, Joslyn Center Director Peter Rittenhouse was getting the same calls and that helped him decide to extend Mr. Michaels Summer Cabaret Concert Series through August and now through December with another 10 dates.
