Cellist Maya Beiser and composer/pianist Michael Harrison's new album Time Loops will be released by Cantaloupe Music on October 30, 2012.

As one of Chicago's most recognizable musicians, Bobby Broom is also a composer and educator, as well as the founder of the Deep Blue Organ Trio. Adept at many musical styles, he performs Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B and the Blues, and has worked with some of the biggest names in jazz, including Sonny Rollins, Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers, Stanley Turrentine, Miles Davis and Ramsey Lewis.

The next generation of Broadway performers were chosen during auditions throughout the spring and come from theatrical institutions across the country, including AMDA, CAP21, Steinhardt, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Carnegie Mellon, Marymount and The New School. These young future performers then made their auspicious debut on The Town Hall stage in what has now become regarded as the country's national showcase. The latest edition of Conrad Herwig's Latin Side series finds him tackling the music of an artist with whom he has performed extensively: saxophonist Joe Henderson. This week's series of shows at the Blue Note marks the latest in the trombonist's string of Latin Side recordings and performances, including The Latin Side of Herbie Hancock (2010), The Latin Side of Wayne Shorter (2008), Sketches of Spain y Mas(2006), Another Kind of Blue (2004), and The Latin Side of John Coltrane (1998). Tuesday and Wednesday night feature special guest Ronnie Cuber (baritone sax) whereas Joe Lovano (tenor sax) will be with the band the rest of the week.
