The Philadelphia Orchestra announces the appointment of Joseph Conyers as assistant principal bass. Mr. Conyers, whose tenure began at the start of the 2010-11 season, comes to the Orchestra from the Atlanta Symphony, where he served a one-and-a-half year tenure. Previously, he held the position of principal bass with the Grand Rapids Symphony and spent four summers as a member of the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra.

Josh Rivedal, a professional actor based in Manhattan, brings his 30 character one man show 'The Gospel According to Josh' to The Media Theatre Wednesday night November 3. The poignant, humorous coming of age tale will take place at 7:30pm in the theatre's Crystal Room, known as the 104 East Cabaret space. A cash bar will be available.
