Anthony Freud, general director of Lyric Opera of Chicago, today announced Memory and Reckoning, a confluence of activities related to the Chicago premiere of Mieczysaw Weinberg's The Passenger, on stage at Lyric tonight, February 24 through March 15. This poignant and gripping 20th-century masterpiece portrays the story of the Holocaust from the perspectives of both victim and perpetrator, and was only recently rediscovered after more than 40 years of suppression.

The fourth release of material in the New York Philharmonic Leon Levy Digital Archives - the multi-year initiative to digitize the Orchestra's extensive archives, funded by the Leon Levy Foundation - has been completed, with all existing Philharmonic printed programs, from the first concert in 1842 to the present, now available online, and current printed programs being added every concert week.

Colorado Ballet presents Ballet MasterWorks, a collection of three works by the masters of music and dance tonight, February 20-March 1, 2015 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, with live music performed by the Colorado Ballet Orchestra.

Spinning Tree Theatre in Kansas City announced their 2015-2016 season schedule, which includes two plays and two musicals. The season will premiere Spinning Trees first dance musical. Venues and dates for the 2015-2016 season are to be announced later. The production company is currently searching for a permanent home, after four years of renting venues in the Kansas City area.

Under the baton of guest conductor Hugh Wolff and with guest pianist Andre Watts, the Utah Symphony will perform Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5. Commonly called "Emperor," this composition is bookended with two works by the great American composer Aaron Copland, "Fanfare for the Common Man" and Symphony No. 3 on March 6 and 7 at 8 p. m. in Abravanel Hall.

Riverside Theatre's 2014-2015 Season continues with the delightful and enchanting musical, Side By Side By Sodhiem. Inside Broadway's Executive Director Michael Presser has announced that on Thursday, March 5, the Lyric Theatre (213 West 42nd Street) will be visited by thousands of NYC public school students as the theatre arts and education organization presents its popular program Creating the Magic. Featuring the cast and production crew of the Broadway musical ON THE TOWN, the 80 minute program will be offered at 10:45am and 1:15pm.

Riverside Theatre's production of West Side Story has been extended for an additional eight performances. Originally scheduled to perform from tonight, February 17th to Sunday, March 8th, the production will now close on Sunday, March 15th.
