Playwrights Horizons Begins LIVEforFIVE Ticketing for THE FLICK

Playwrights Horizons begins accepting entries today, Friday, February 8, for its popular LIVEforFIVE online lottery for $5 tickets to the World Premiere of THE FLICK, a new play by Obie Award winner Annie Baker (Circle Mirror Transformation at Playwrights Horizons/PH, The Aliens, her recent adaptation of Uncle Vanya), directed by Obie Award winner Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, Kin and The Big Meal at PH; Seminar and the current Picnic on Broadway). The LIVEforFIVE lottery for THE FLICK will be for tickets to the first preview on Friday evening, February 15 at 8PM at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

The theater company becomes the very first in New York to offer ticket sales - with the added option to make additional reservations for friends - through this unique distribution channel for social ticketing.

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of THE MADRID, the new play by Liz Flahive, directed by Leigh Silverman begins previews tomorrow, February 5 at 7 PM at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street) in preparation for a Tuesday, February 26 opening night. The limited engagement has already been extended through Sunday, April 21.

Interstate 73, Page 73 Productions' writers group supporting early-career playwrights, where selected playwrights meet biweekly to share new pages with their peers and Page 73's Executive and Associate Directors, will welcome Stephen Brown, Meghan Deans, Peter Gil-Sheridan, David Jenkins, Kait Kerrigan, EM Lewis and Caroline V. McGraw (who was also selected as the 2013 P73 Playwriting Fellow) into the group this year.

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced a one week extension for THE MADRID, the world premiere play by Liz Flahive (From Up Here, "Nurse Jackie"), directed by Leigh Silverman (In The Wake, Chinglish). Tickets for THE MADRID are now on sale through Sunday, April 21 with previews beginning Tuesday, February 5 for a Tuesday, February 26 opening at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

Signature's GOLDEN CHILD Extends Again, Now Through 12/16

Signature Theatre has announced a second one-week extension for GOLDEN CHILD by David Henry Hwang, directed by Leigh Silverman. The production will now play through Sunday, December 16. The production is currently in previews and opens on November 13 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Very limited availability remains for the production's initial run. Tickets during the extension weeks are $75 each.
