With music by Matt Connor, book by Grace Barnes, and lyrics adapted from Edgar Allan Poe, Nevermore runs October 20 - November 6. Babes With Blades Theatre Company is proud to present the World Premiere of The Promise of a Rose Garden, written by Dustin Spence, to be performed at City Lit Theater, 1020 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., in Chicago. Previews will be Saturday, July 30, Sunday, July 31, Thursday, August 4, and Friday, August 5. The press opening is Saturday, August 6 at 8PM, and the show will run Thursdays-Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 3 from August 6 - September 10.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston opens its 48th season with its first-rate production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic CAROUSEL. Bridge Repertory Theater of Boston concludes its third season with Marisa Wegrzyn's MUD BLUE SKY. Tickets are available for three remaining shows this weekend. There's Sondheim music galore playing at the Lyric Stage Company as Producing Artistic Director and recognized Sondheim expert Spiro Veloudos directs an octet of Boston musical theatre performers in SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM. In effect, the composer/lyricist is the ninth member of the ensemble as he appears onscreen, larger than life, providing intimate commentary on his life, his process, and his words and music. The video affords the opportunity to sit through a master class with the master, and the living, breathing actors demonstrate his brilliance with their starry interpretations.
