Dallas Theater Center announced today complete details for the mind-bending love story, Constellations. 

AT&T Performing Arts Center (AT&T PAC) and Dallas Theater Center (DTC) today announced a collaboration with Theatre Development Fund (TDF) to provide, for the first time, open captioning services at select upcoming productions in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House, Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre and Kalita Humphreys Theater.

In 2015, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained and deported 69,478 individuals residing within the United States. More than 1.76 million residents of the United States were brought here as undocumented youth, immigrant children who attend school here, work here, and pay taxes here, but whose existence here is considered illegal. While this is a frightening setting for those living with the constant fear of deportation and divided families, this existence hardly registers with the charismatic politician Dale Jenkins, a principal character in David Lozano and Lee Trull's collaborative, political play, Deferred Action.

A co-production with Cara Mia Theatre Co. and directed by Cara Mia's Artistic Director David Lozano, DEFERRED ACTION features company members from both DTC and Cara Mia. Dallas Theater Center announced commissions of three North Texas playwrights. Matt Lyle, Jonathan Norton and DTC Brierley Resident Acting Company member Steven Walters will each write an original full-length play for DTC in the next 12 months.

Second Thought Theatre begins Belleville, the second show of its 2015 season, tonight with preview performances. Lee Trull returns to Second Thought Theater to direct this thrilling play about the choices people make and the subsequent ramifications. Belleville begins with previews tonight and runs through Saturday, June 13. Dallas Theater Center's hit production of the holiday classic A Christmas Carol returns to the Wyly Theatre this November. DTC's Director of New Play Development Lee Trull makes his DTC directorial debut with this tale that follows a miserly old man on a magical journey of hope and redemption, choreographed by Jeremy Dumont and with music direction by Home By Hovercraft's Shawn Magill.

Dallas Theater Center Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty and Playwright-in-Residence Will Power announced today details for the second year of the Dallas Playwrights' Workshop. In addition to a new class of playwrights entering into the program, participants from last year will display their work at two public readings. DTC is currently accepting applications for the 2014-15 Dallas Playwrights' Workshop. The application deadline is Monday, July 14.

DTC's 2014-2015 season will expand to nine total productions from this year's seven, and will include the world premiere new musical Stagger Lee, a commissioned musical by DTC Playwright-in-Residence Will Power and Justin Ellington, a rolling world premiere production of Colossal, a new play about football by Andrew Hinderaker, and the return to the stage of June Squibb for the first time since her Academy Award-nomination.

Dallas Theater Center Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty announced today that DTC Associate Artist and Brierley Resident Acting Company member Lee Trull has been promoted to Director of New Play Development. In his new position, Trull will produce readings, workshops and productions of new plays and musicals, manage new play submissions, serve as a member of the theater's senior staff, engage in education and outreach efforts, and participate as a member of the theater's artistic staff. Trull began working for Dallas Theater Center and joined the Resident Acting Company in 2008.

Dallas Theater Center presents Neil Simon's classic American comedy, The Odd Couple, directed by DTC Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty. When two men with struggling relationships, neat and particular Felix Ungar and disheveled and rough-edged Oscar Madison, decide to live together, the results are funny and poignant. The Odd Couple opens with previews tonight, March 15 and runs through Sunday, April 14 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center.
