GAME OF SILENCE Star Michael Raymond-James to Lead BTG's CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF

Berkshire Theatre Group announces casting for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, with TV and Film actor, Michael Raymond-James as Brick. Neil Genzlinger (New York Times) suggests that Raymond-James is 'scary good," in NBC's new series Game of Silence, adding that he 'injects a sense of ominous unpredictability into this well-made revenge thriller." In addition, Michael Raymond-James has appeared in hit shows such as, True Blood and Once Upon a Time, as well as the feature films, Black Snake Moan with Justin Timberlake, and Jack Reacher with Tom Cruise.

New Monodrama MAMMA'S LITTLE DARLINGS Set for Manhattan Rep's 10 Minute Play Contest

Playwright Phil Paradis has another new play going up on the boards at Manhattan Repertory Theatre in New York. Paradis' latest new short play 'Mamma's Little Darlings' will be staged as part of Manhattan Rep's 10 Minute Play Contest with eight new short plays tonight, April 7, at 9 p.m. at Manhattan Repertory Theatre, 303 W. 42nd St. 6th FL, New York, NY.

Tony Winner John Guare to Lead Discussion on Tennessee Williams at Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company

Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company will host a post-show discussion centered on the later work of Tennessee Williams following the March 5, 3pm performance of Tennessee Williams 1982. The participants include Tony-winning playwright John Guare, scholar and writer David Savran, scholar and current Tennessee Williams' editor Thomas Keith, and professor and writer Annette J. Saddik.

Broadway, Chicago Stars Round Out Principal Cast of Lyric Opera's THE KING AND I

Lyric Opera of Chicago announced today casting for the remaining principal roles in its grand-scale production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I, featuring Broadway stars Kate Baldwin and Paolo Montalban as Anna Leonowens and the King of Siam. Additional Broadway artists Ali Ewoldt (Tuptim), Alan Ariano (The Kralahome) and Rona Figueroa (Lady Thiang) join the cast, along with Sam Simahk (Lun Tha) and Chicagoland artists Charlie Babbo (Louis Leonowens), Jomar Ferreras (Interpreter), John Lister (Captain Orton), David Parkes (Sir Edward Ramsay), Peter Sipla (Phra Alack) and Matthew Uzarraga (Prince Chulalongkorn). All but Lister make their Lyric debuts with The King and I.

BWW Review: SHARON TATE IN HEAVEN - A Wonderful First-Person Trip Down Celluloid Memory Lane

With some judicious editing, this Austin Pendleton-directed 95-minute solo SHARON TATE IN HEAVEN (actually Part One in a trilogy) would make a stunning stand-alone one act. Jen Danby has written this fictional interview of an already deceased Sharon Tate chockfull of very interesting celluloid facts and tidbits. Onstage as Tate, Danby has captured the vocal qualities and essence of Ms. Tate very nicely.
