Yesterday, July 8, celebrities attended the World Renowned Shen Yun Performing Arts Show. The show was held at The Dorothy Chandler Pavillion in Los Angeles, California. As the theatrical community of NY gathered on the Great White Way to celebrate their own for the 2010 TONY AWARDS, the Los Angeles thespian society congregated 3000 miles away to cheer their colleagues via a LIVE feed, courtesy of Direct TV, as THE ACTORS FUND and host Tommy Tune honored TONY Award-winner Brian Stokes Mitchell at their 14th Annual Tony Awards Party with the Julie Harris Award. Former High School chum and dance partner Annette Bening presented the award in recognition of not only 'Stokes' theatrical accomplishments, but also his leadership as Chairman of the Board of The Actors Fund. The gala, which included a memorable performance of 'You Made Me Love You' by Lorna Luft dedicated to the evening's honoree, was produced and written by Marc Cherry and David Rambo.

The New York Times is reporting that CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY, which plays Monday nights at the Triad in New York has joined the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which runs from August 5- August 30. In addition, the show will venture to both Pittsburgh and and New Orleans this summer. The show will star Michael Urie and George Wendt. Additional casting is to be announced.

Last night, June 7, Matthew Broderick served as the special guest performer in the famed Celebrity Autobiography at the Triad Theatre. The 2009 Drama Desk Award winner and 2010 Bistro Award winner Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words also featured Mario Cantone, Dick Cavett, Jackie Hoffman, Kristen Johnston, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel, Sherri Shepherd, and Alan Zweibel. Chicago thespian Lee Pelty, known for his numerous portrayals of Tevye the Milkman in 'Fiddler on the Roof,' died on Sunday of lung cancer. He was 74. Pelty was last seen in Fiddler in February 2007 at Theatre at the Center in Munster.
