The Duke Ellington Orchestra is the preeminent performer of the music of Duke Ellington. A prolific composer, Ellington created over two thousand pieces of music, including the standard songs Take the A-Train and It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing) and the longer works Black, Brown and Beige, Liberian Suite, and Afro-Eurasian Eclipse. The Orchestra features Barrie Lee Hall, one of the original orchestra members.

Last Night, 31 March 2010, Billy Elliot the Musical celebrated its fifth birthday in London's West End. Joining the current London cast to celebrate were composer Elton John, director Stephen Daldry, writer Lee Hall, Haydn Gwynne who played the original Mrs Wilkinson and Tim Healy who played Bllly's original Dad, and 19 past, present and future Billys Elliots. Guests included David Furnish, David Walliams, Lara Stone and Alexander Lebedev.

BILLY ELLIOT Celebrates 5th Birthday With Billy Reunion

The critically acclaimed, internationally award-winning musical opened at the Victoria Palace Theatre in 2005 and has subsequently been seen by over 4.5 million people worldwide. As well as the current London production, Billy Elliot the Musical has performed in Sydney and Melbourne, is currently performing at the Imperial Theater on Broadway and from 18 March will begin previews at the Oriental Theatre, Chicago, with further productions due to open in Korea in August 2010, Toronto in February 2011 and Japan in 2011. In addition a North American tour is slated to begin in November 2010 and productions are in the works for Germany and Holland.

Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions will be holding open auditions in Toronto on Saturday, March 13 to find boys ages nine through twelve to play the roles of ‘Billy' and ‘Michael' in the North American companies of Billy Elliot the Musical. The auditions will take place at 509 DANCE (509 Parliament Street at Carlton Street) in Toronto. Sign-up will begin at 12:30 p.m.

The 2010 Olivier Awards will take place on 21 March 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, with Spring Awakening, Enron, Jerusalem and A Little Night Music among the standouts of the season with the most nominations. The Laurence Olivier Awards were established in 1976 as The Society of West End Theatre Awards, and Lord Olivier agreed to have his name associated with them in 1984.
