Olympia Dukakis, Lily Rabe, Brian d'Arcy James and More to Appear in Red Bull Theater's 11th Season

Red Bull Theater today announced that their Eleventh Season will include a rare revival of John Ford's 'Tis Pity She's a Whore along with an all new season of their acclaimed Revelation Readings, including Dekker & Middleton's The Honest Whore, Ford's Perkin Warbeck and Love's Sacrifice, Baillie's De Montfort, Ludlam's Camille, Euripides's Hippolytos, Middleton's A Chaste Maid in Cheapside, Calderon's Life Is a Dream, Ibsen's The Wild Duck (a new version by Pulitzer Prize-winner David Auburn), Beaumont & Fletcher's The Maid's Tragedy, Marston's The Dutch Courtesan, Sheridan's The School For Scandal, with casts that include Olympia Dukakis, Hamish Linklater, Lily Rabe, Charlayne Woodard, Brian D'Arcy James, Rocco Sisto, Robert Cuccioli, Charles Busch, Everett Quinton, Arnie Burton, Tom Hewitt, Jennifer Ikeda, Christopher Innvar, Sam Tsoutsouvas, Rebecca Brooksher, Jeremy Shamos, Harris Yulin, Nick Westrate, Carson Elrod, and Jeanine Serralles, among others.

BWW Previews: West Coast Premiere of HOW I FELL IN LOVE by Joel Fields Presented by Collaborative Artists Ensemble, 10/17

According to D.H. Lawrence, "We have made a great mess of love since we made an ideal of it." HOW I FELL IN LOVE centers on two lost souls, Nessa and Todd, each haplessly seeking their ideal romantic partner as they stumble into adulthood alone in the City of the Angels. When they accidentally find their way into each other's lives while seeking professional help, they soon discover their individual stories may be more intertwined than they could ever have imagined, leading each to start questioning the meaning of fate, friendship, and true love. Can two people not attracted to each other actually be perfect life partners? With the audience acting as their sounding board, Nessa and Todd's story unfolds amid the many twists and turns in their search for true love and happiness - despite their neuroses!

Theatre of NOTE to Present West Coast Premiere of BANSHEE, 10/3

Theatre of NOTE continues its 2014 season with the West Coast premiere of BANSHEE,written by Brian C. Petti and directed by James R. Carey. BANSHEE will preview Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27, and will open on Friday, October 3 at 8pm and run through Saturday, November 1 at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N. Cahuenga Blvd (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood.

'WEDDING BAND' to Run 10/18-12/7 at Antaeus

In the summer of 1918, as the Great War rages in Europe, two individuals wage their own battle against injustice in America, risking their lives for the right to marry. Winding up the 2014 Antaeus season of modern classics, Gregg T. Daniel directs a fully partner-cast revival of Wedding Band: A Love/Hate Story in Black and White by Alice Childress. Wedding Band runs Oct. 18 through Dec. 7 at the Antaeus Theater in NoHo, with low-priced previews beginning Oct. 9.

Company of Fools to Offer A WALK IN THE WOODS Reading, 9/27

The Sun Valley Center for the Arts and Company of Fools will present a play reading of Lee Blessing's A Walk in the Woods on Saturday, September 27, at 6:30pm at The Center in Ketchum. This reading, which is free and open to the public, is part of The Center's fall BIG IDEA multidisciplinary project, Forests, Foraging and Fires.

SYLVIA, ENRON, 4000 MILES and More Set for 2nd Story Theatre's 2014-15 Season

Cats may have nine lives, but 2nd Story's top dog, Sylvia, has two. AR Gurney's personable pooch is making a return visit to satisfy all the customers who were turned away during last spring's sold out run. The eight-performance rerun will be from September 4 - September 14. In early October, 2nd Story kicks off its GR8 Season -- eight great plays -- four UpStage and four Down.

L. Scott Caldwell Stars in Colony Theatre's WHAT I LEARNED IN PARIS, Beginning Tonight

The Colony Theatre will present the second production of its historic 40th Anniversary season, the West Coast Premiere of WHAT I LEARNED IN PARIS by Pearl Cleage. The production stars Tony winner L. Scott Caldwell, and is directed by Saundra McClain. WHAT I LEARNED IN PARIS will preview tonight, September 3; Thursday, September 4; and Friday, September 5 at 8:00pm. It will open on Saturday, September 6 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, October 5 at The Colony Theatre, 555 North Third Street in Burbank.

Adam Gwon, Sarah Hammond and Deborah Zoe Laufer Join 92Y's Fall 2014 O'Neill Center Tribute

Join O'Neill Center artistic directors Wendy Goldberg, of the National Playwrights Conference, and Paulette Haupt, of the National Music Theater Conference, distinguished alumni Adam Gwon, Sarah Hammond and Deborah Zoe Laufer, and moderator Anne G. Morgan, for a look at the O'Neill's influential role as a theatrical laboratory over the last 50 years.

Keen Company's 15th Season to Feature Kathleen Chalfant in A WALK IN THE WOODS and Revival of JOHN & JEN

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company today announced that their 2014 - '15 season will begin with the first major New York revival of Lee Blessing's A Walk In The Woods starring Kathleen Chalfant and Paul Niebanck, directed by Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein. It will be followed in the spring by a rare revival of John & Jen, the musical with music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics by Tom Greenwald, and a book by Lippa and Greenwald.

'Eleemosynary' won the prestigious Los Angeles Drama Critics Award in 1997 for its penetrating study of three remarkable women. MET will present the play as part of its MET-X series. MET-X is programming, usually self-produced by Ensemble Members, created outside of MET's Mainstage season to expand the collective horizons of the Ensemble and its audience. 'Eleemosynary' will play from July 11-12 and July 18-19 at 8pm at Maryland Ensemble Theatre located in the historic FSK Hotel at 31 W Patrick Street in downtown Frederick.
