Strouse and Ebersole Sign and Sing at Barnes and Noble

Barnes and Noble LIVE AT LINCOLN presents Tony Award-winning composer of Bye Bye Birdie, Applause, Annie and more, Charles Strouse (Put on a Happy Face: A Broadway Memoir) at the piano with host Steven Suskin and special musical guest Christine Ebersole on Thursday, July 10, 5:30pm. There will be a conversation, musical performance, and book signing.

NSMT Announces 'Bye Bye Birdie' Cast

Return to a simpler time with BYE BYE BIRDIE, the ultimate feel good musical, when it lands on the North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) main stage. Winner of four 1961 Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, BYE BYE BIRDIE runs July 15 to August 3, 2008 and Press Night is scheduled for July 17 at 7:30 pm.

On Monday June 16th at the 21 Club there was a cocktail reception celebrating Charles Strouse, his 80th birthday, his 50-year career and the launch of his new book, Put on a Happy Face: A Broadway Memoir. The evening included a musical tribute, the reading of a proclamation from the city of New York, and a performance by Strouse from behind the piano.

O'Donnell, Ebersole, Leavel Set for '07/8 Encores! Season

Rosie O'Donnell will play Pauline, 'the tart-tongued, wisecracking maid' in Encores!' upcoming production of the classic 1925 musical No, No Nanette, while Tony Award-winner Christine Ebersole will take on the role of stage diva Margo Channing in Applause, the 1970 Charles Strouse-Lee Adams musical based on All About Eve.
