Tonight on American Idol was the Top 10 Results Show. The night started off with Jimmy Iovine, mentor to the contestants, reviewing last night's performances. He stated that the girls are simply outperforming the boys.

Five More Semifinalists Round Out AMERICAN IDOL's Top 20

Last night, AMERICAN IDOL named the final set of guys who will join the Top 20. They are Lazaro Arbos, 21, from Naples, FL; Nick Boddington, 27, from Memphis, TN; Vincent Powell, 29, from Austin, TX; Cortez Shaw, 21, from Dallas, TX; and Burnell Taylor, 19, from New Orleans, LA.

Phillip Phillips' 'Gone, Gone, Gone' Named Goodbye Song on AMERICAN IDOL Season 12

Quadruple-platinum, Billboard chart-topper and AMERICAN IDOL winner Phillip Phillips will perform his second single, “Gone, Gone, Gone,” from his debut album, “The World From The Side Of The Moon,” on AMERICAN IDOL Thursday, March 14 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. “Gone, Gone, Gone” also will serve as the “goodbye” song of the season and will be featured when the IDOL finalists are eliminated week by week. Phillips and previously announced performers Bon Jovi will appear on the IDOL stage to perform on the LIVE results show.

Five More Semifinalists Advance to Top 20 on AMERICAN IDOL

The five guy semifinalists are Charlie Askew, 18, from Little Rock, AR; Curtis Finch Jr., 24, from St. Louis, MO; Paul Jolley, 22, from Palmersville, TN; Elijah Liu, 18, from Rowland Heights, CA; and Devin Velez, 18, from Chicago, IL.

AMERICAN IDOL Reveals Top 40 Semifinalists Heading to Vegas

The AMERICAN IDOL auditions came to a conclusion tonight as the judges' semifinalists picks were revealed. After intense deliberations, Mariah, Randy, Nicki and Keith have chosen the Top 40 contestants, who will now head to Las Vegas to perform on the stage of Cirque du Soleil's Beatles LOVE Theatre at The Mirage.

Two contestants who struggled through the group rounds were up next. First was Papa Peachez who sang Lady Gaga's You and I. And then Jimmy Smith sand Landslide by the Dixie Chicks.

Although he struggled to speak to judges Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban, the inspirational 21-year-old blew them away with his rendition of 'Bridge Over Troubled Water.'
