Tonight!! Friday, March 19th THE AFTER PARTY is thrilled to welcome Nightlife Diva EMILY MCNAMARA

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is very pleased to announce the world-premiere production of Phil Geoffrey Bond's My Queer Youth, directed by Tony Award-winner, Michele Pawk. The solo performance piece, a humorous look at growing up queer amidst the cornfields of southern Indiana, will play the midtown venue for four performances only.

Ars Nova, under the leadership of Artistic Director Jason Eagan, will present the world premiere of the new musical BLOODSONG OF LOVE with book, music & lyrics by multi-award winner Joe Iconis, and directed by John Simpkins. BLOODSONG OF LOVE, which was commissioned and developed by Ars Nova, will begin previews on April 1st prior to an official press opening of April 15th at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues) in Manhattan.

On Sunday, March 28, Ann Harada, Raymond J. Lee, Deborah Lew, Jose Llana, Ann Sanders, and Christine Toy Johnson, will celebrate the DVD release of 'Transcending - The Wat Misaka Story' with a benefiit concert for the film. The event will take place at the Laurie Beechman Theatre at 9:30pm.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is proud to present Award-winning TV Personality and Host, known as the 'Hilarious Hottie' from truTV's hit show 'The Smoking Gun Presents', and INSTINCT Magazine's March Cover Model/Story - Scott Nevins, as he returns home to NYC for a special One Night Only performance on Thursday, April 1st at 7:00pm.

On Saturday afternoon, April 10, John Hoglund and Geri Malino will present CALLING ALL ANGELS: stellar extravaganza to benefit former MAC board of director, gifted graphic artist and cabaret/theater champion Gregory Kennell at The Laurie Beechman Cabaret Theatre starting at 2:00 pm.

Andrew Cristi (Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's Durango) makes his solo cabaret debut at the Laurie Beechman Theater on Sunday, March 14 at 7pm.

On FRIDAY March 12th THE AFTER PARTY celebrates Carnegie Mellon's Musical Theatre Alumni with Professor RAY FELLMAN at the piano!

Tom Andersen, Scott Coulter and Tim Di Pasqua will perform their award-winning show, 'Southern Comfort: A Down-Home Country Music Jamboree!,' on Friday, March 12, at 7 p.m. at the Schwartz Center for the Arts, 226 S. State St. in Dover, Delaware. The trio will sing classic and contemporary hits by Glen Campbell, Patsy Cline, Vince Gill, George Jones, Alan Jackson, k.d. lang, Dolly Parton, Randy Travis and Hank Williams.

Now going strong it's third, THE AFTER PARTY is billed as "a weekly schmoozefest for the theatrically inclined." Every Friday from 10:30 pm until the wee hours, pros from Broadway and aspiring stars alike belt it out on the stage of The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Join host BRANDON CUTRELL (Bistor, MAC and Nightlife Award winner) with RAY FELLMAN (Bistro Award winner) at the piano for this weekly party in the theatre district. Broadway performers Lisa Brescia, Memphis' Chad Kimball, Andrew Samonsky and more have been confirmed to perform in Not The Same: The Music & Lyrics of Bobby Cronin on March 28th at the Metropolitan Room.

The Joe Allen Players return to midtown Manhattan for Broadway Bombs. After a sold out sold out performances at the Laurie Beechman Theater & Don't Tell Mama this past fall, the Joe Allen Players will reprise Broadway Bombs complete with the latest bombs, little known flop facts, new cast members, new stories, new songs and, of course, more Carrie...The Musical. The performance will take place at Don't Tell Mama - 343 West 46th Street.

IN THE HEIGHTS cast member Doreen Montalvo will host Cabaret Cares 3, a benefit for 'Help Is On The Way Today,' a not-for-profit organization assisting children and teens living with HIV/AIDS in both New York City and Africa. The Monday, March 22 show will feature performances by sixteen members of the IN THE HEIGHTS cast: Doreen Montalvo, Michael Balderrama, Blanca Camacho, Tony Chiroldes, Rubén Flores, Afra Hines, Christopher Jackson, Marcus Paul James, Stephanie Klemons, Nina LaFarga, Javier Munoz, Rick Negron, Courtney Reed, Jon Rua, Gabrielle Ruiz, Luis Salgado and special guests.

Legendary comedian JOAN RIVERS continues to make The Laurie Beechman Theatre in Times Square her performance home in New York City. Rivers presents an evening of her newest and most outrageous riffs on Hollywood, pop culture, celebrities, and award show fashions at The Laurie Beechman Theatre inside the West Bank Cafe (407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue).

The New York City Gay Men's Chorus' Big GAY Sing 2 takes last year's sellout sing along and turns up the dial. This show has it all - including the chance to sing a solo with the Chorus in our Big Gay Idol competition. With music from Lady Gaga, Glee and Beyonce to classics by George Michael, Cher and Broadway, plus dance and drag, BGS2 leaves no gay stone unturned. On March 25 and 26, the NYCGMC is going to fill Skirball with glitter, glamour, and gorgeous men.

The Marvelous Wonderettes' Christina DeCicco and BAWDY's, Jesse Luttrell have been added as special guests in the upcoming concert, Larry Hamilton: Channel Surfing! Hamilton, who was last seen at Joe's Pub with Our Lady J's Gospel of Dolly, will return to the Laurie Beechman for a second go-round, with tunes from the television and movie screens. Channel Surfing will play one performance only on March 21 at 9:30PM. The concert will also feature 'The Channel Surfing Singers': Geoff Kidwell (Rated:RSO), Mark Mozingo (The Hidden Sky), Anich D'Jae, Tatiana Henderson, Michael Jones, Ryan Scott Lathan, Jennifer Mintzer, JB Reed, Robin Rothman, Rachel Smith, Justin Stratton, and Robert Teasdale. Percy Rodriguez (drums) and Marvelous Wonderettes' Brandon Sturiale (piano) will accompany the evening.

After being forced to postpone the world premier of her lastest piece, THE JACKIE LOOK at the Country Club due to the venue's closing this fall, performance artist Karen Finley will now debut the piece at the Laurie Beechman on Saturday, January 23 at 7:30pm. The multimedia show will run consecutive Saturdays at 7:30pm from January 23 - February 27.

More than 20 of cabaret's brightest stars will be honored at the 25th Annual Bistro Awards which will take place on Tuesday, April 13 at Gotham Comedy Club. Legendary singer-dancer-actress Mitzi Gaynor, star of such films as South Pacific, Les Girls, Anything Goes, and a longtime headliner in Las Vegas and the nightclub circuit, making her first NY night club appearance in years in May at Feinstein's at Loews Regency, will be honored with the Bob Harrington Lifetime Achievement Award. Elaine Stritch, the uniquely sensational actress and singer and star of stage, film, and TV, will be recognized in the category of Extraordinary Cabaret Artist, noting her recent conquests of the cabaret stage.
