RRazz Room Announces Upcoming July Line-up

The League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), a non-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, is pleased to recognize the talents of two outstanding women: the Ruth Morley Design Award will be given to Tony Award-winning costume designer Susan Hilferty, and the LPTW Lucille Lortel Award and accompanying grant will be presented to director and actor Rebecca Patterson.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater announces programming for an encore New York season at BAM's Howard Gilman Opera House from June 10th - 20th, the culmination of a 20-city U.S. Tour celebrating Judith Jamison's 20th year as artistic director.

The 28th Annual MERMAID PARADE will step off at 2pm on Saturday, June 19, 2010. This years parade features King Neptune Lou Reed and Queen Mermaid Laurie Anderson.

The line-up for the 65th Caramoor International Music Festival features Genre-defying ensemble 2 Foot Yard opening the series on July 2, followed by ETHEL, one of America's premier post-classical string quartets, on July 9. The series concludes with Christopher O'Riley, a dynamic pianist and host of NPR's From the Top, in a July 30 program entitled 'Out of My Hands'. The Wooster Group will present its first benefit artauction on the occasion of its 35 th Anniversary. Dubbed 'The Wooster (Support)Group', the event will feature live and silent auctions of contemporary art.

On March 13, REDCAT hosts its 2010 REDCAT Gala in celebration of its 6th anniversary as one of the most vibrant cultural centers in Los Angeles. The evening honors New York-based conceptual artist Glenn Ligon, with a tribute by actor, director, and artist James Franco, and L.A. philanthropist Tim Disney, with a tribute by friend and actor Alfre Woodard.
