Disney Theatrical Productions celebrates the announcement of two world premiere productions of THE LION KING at Shanghai Disney Resort and Mexico City, in partnership with Disney Parks and Resorts and OCESA, respectively. The announcement was made today by Thomas Schumacher, president and producer, Disney Theatrical Productions. The two productions will be the 23rd and 24th mounted around the world since the show's Broadway debut in 1997.

Stephen Daldry directs Matthew Beard (Edward Sergeant), Carey Mulligan (Kyra Hollis) and Bill Nighy (Tom Sergeant) in a major West End revival of David Hare's Olivier award-winning Skylight. Disney Theatrical Productions, Broadway Across America, and CAPA today announced that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's The Lion King will go on sale to the public on Thursday, June 26, at 10am. Columbus' most eagerly awaited return will once again leap onto the Ohio Theatre stage on Tuesday, October 14, for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, November 9, 2014. The show's six-week premiere engagement in 2004 played a sold-out run at the Ohio Theatre.
