On December 10th and 11th, Christopher J. Hanke and Telly Leung joined Broadway Artists Alliance to lead master classes. Hanke led a How to Succeed...-themed master class, and Leung led a GLEE-themed master class. Both performers worked on song interpretation with a very fortunate group of students, and led a Q&A session. Check out photos from both events below!

With Annie returning to Broadway in 2012, Broadway Artists Alliance of New York City was pleased to present an Annie-themed master classes on December 11th with original Annie star Andrea McArdle and a casting representative from Telsey + Company.

The New Voices Collective is gearing up for IN DEVELOPMENT: New Songs from New Shows, New Voices' triumphant return to its original home at Peter Norton Symphony Space, this coming Monday, December 12, at 8:00 p.m. An incredible roster of composers have contributed songs from their new musicals, providing a 'sneak peek' at an interesting array of projects, such as Homemade Fusion by Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond and Bunnicula by Sam Davis and Mark Waldrop.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Lauren Kennedy (Spamalot, Side Show, Sunset Blvd., Vanities) will lead readings of the new musical, The Emma Woodhouse Single Girls Guide, a stage re-imagination of Jane Austen's 1815 novel, Emma.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, will continue its Fall 2011 season with "THE BROADWAY HOOTENANNY," a new weekly show produced, created and hosted by Scott Siegel. Goodspeed Musicals is re-imagining favorite Tin Pan Alley tunes with the new-fashioned musical comedy Hello! My Baby. The show from Goodspeed's 2011 Festival of New Artists will run through 27, 2011 at The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn., Goodspeed's home for developing new works. Best known as co-writer and co-creator of the hit musical, Altar Boyz, the award-winning composer/lyricist will have a special one-night only CD release event on Monday, November 7 at 7:00 PM as part of 'Broadway at Birdland,' the weekly concert series at the legendary jazz club.

Today we are talking to the songwriter responsible for the new collection of songs culled from his many musical theatre ventures, both new and old - oh-so-appropriately titled OUT OF CONTEXT - who perhaps is best known to Broadway babies as the composer/lyricist of the mid-00s Off-Broadway smash boy-band spoof musical ALTAR BOYZ - the versatile and fiercely committed Michael Patrick Walker.
