Steep Theatre will introduce another emerging British playwright to Chicago with the U.S. Premiere of Cordelia Lynn's Lela & Co., directed by Robin Witt, featuring Cruz Gonzalez-Cadel and Chris Chmelik. This production will mark Lynn's U.S. debut, but Chicago audiences are no stranger to the work of director Robin Witt. Witt, a Steep Company Member, has been at the helm of some of the ensemble's most memorable shows, including Simon Stephens' Wastwater, Motortown, Pornography, and Harper Regan; Dennis Kelly's Love and Money; and Alistair McDowall's Brilliant Adventures. She won the 2015 and 2016 Jeff Award for Best Director for Griffin Theatre's Flare Path and London Wall.
Nottingham Playhouse's Autumn/Winter season of work on its main stage begins with the return of the critically acclaimed The Kite Runner, straight from two West End runs. First produced by Nottingham Playhouse and the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse in 2013, The Kite Runner returns to its Nottingham home before embarking on a UK tour.
When Laura Wade's Posh premiered at the Royal Court in 2010, its dark promise that these destructive student toffs - members of the Riot Club, a loosely fictional version of Oxford's Bullington - would one day run the country had a timely frisson: former club members David Cameron, George Osborne and Boris Johnson occupied Downing Street and the mayoral office respectively.
The world premiere of an all-female version of Posh, which is currently running at London's Pleasance Theatre with a press night set for 3 April, gives Laura Wade's play a new, topical voice by allowing women to take centre stage in roles originally written for men. The production is directed by Off West End Award winner Cressida Carre. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
OLD MONEY. NEW PROBLEMS. DIFFERENT GENDER.

Steep Theatre will present the first professional U.S. production of Tony nominee and Olivier Award-winning playwright Mike Bartlett's Earthquakes in London, opening January 26, 2017. Steep's production opens on the heels of another Chicago production of this enormously exciting playwright's work, the critically-acclaimed King Charles III at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Earthquakes will be helmed by one of Chicago's most exciting talents, Steep Ensemble Member and Jeff Award-winning director Jonathan Berry. Berry recently directed Steppenwolf Theatre's Constellations, and, over the years, has consistently produced some of Steep's most notable shows, including Season 15's Posh by Laura Wade, which won the Non-Equity Jeff Award for Best Ensemble, and was nominated for Best Director and Best Production.

Last night, a starry crowd turned out for JURASSIC PARK LIVE at London's Royal Albert Hall. The iconic venue hosts the world premiere of Steven Spielberg's masterpiece in a film and live orchestra extravaganza: the 1993 blockbuster is screened in high-definition on a giant screen, while John Williams' classic score is played live on stage by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, conducted by Ludwig Wicki.
Guests at the premiere included Myleene Klass, The Wanted's Tom Parker, Miranda Hart, Stephen Merchant, Samuel West, Laura Wade, and tennis pro Heather Watson.
The actress talked about her new one-woman Broadway show, ALL THE WAYS TO SAY I LOVE. 'It's really lonely,' joked Light about appearing on stage by herself.
