Asolo Repertory Theatre's production of Bonnie & Clyde opened on November 19. Jay Handelman reports in today's Herald-Tribune that the show is heading next to Broadway in August of 2011. The article reports that: 'We're planning to go to Broadway in August. We're going to Broadway, absolutely,' said Jerry Frankel, a veteran Broadway producer who is partnered with Jeffrey Richards. They are represented on Broadway by 'Bloody Blood Andrew Jackson,' 'The Merchant of Venice' with Al Pacino and 'A Life in the Theatre.'

Asolo Repertory Theatre's production of Bonnie & Clyde opened on November 19. The opening night festivities included vintage cars on the patio courtesy of Vintage Motors of Sarasota.

Caldwell Theatre Company announced the completed casting for their latest installment of their overwhelmingly successful Broadway Concert Series, Follies. Joining the previously announced stars, Laura Hodos, Wayne LeGette, Melissa Minyard, and Stephen G. Anthony are: Meghan Colleen Moroney (Broadway: Mamma Mia), Jeanne Bennett ( National Tours: Les Miserable, The Mystery of Edwin Drood) and well known South Florida star Lourelene Snedeker.

American Stage Theatre Company will produce the Broadway smash hit musical that changed a generation, HAIR, during the theatre's 25th anniversary production of American Stage in the Park, April 21 thru May 16. Pay What You Can nights are April 21 and 22.

The Caldwell Theatre Company has announced the latest installment of their Broadway Concert Series by producing the Stephen Sondheim, James Lapine classic 'Into The Woods,' after Caldwell's acclaimed concert of 'Sunday in the Park With George' by the same writing team.

American Stage Theatre Company continues its first full season in the Raymond James Theatre with Noel Coward's hilariously classic farce, BLITHE SPIRIT, running Jan. 20 thru Feb. 14. 'Pay-What-You-Can' nights are Tuesday, Jan. 26 and Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m.

Martin Charnin, creator, director and lyricist of Annie, will be theatrically reunited with his original Annie, Andrea McArdle, for the first time since the mega-musical was on Broadway in 1977. They team up again in Love is Love, a brand new musical revue conceived and directed by Charnin, which will premiere in Florida at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre for ten performances as a special limited engagement from October 15 - 25, 2009.

This touching musical follows a couple through 50 years of marriage. Renowned actors David Kelley and Laura Hodos portray the husband and wife duo. Hodos was recently nominated for a Carbonell Award for her performance in She Loves Me at the Caldwell Theatre Company in Boca Raton. With story and lyrics written by the infamous Tom Jones, there is no better director than Tom Jones? wife Janet Watson. She has choreographed several incarnations of I Do, I Do off-Broadway.
