American Stage Theatre Company will produce the Broadway smash hit musical that changed a generation, HAIR, during the theatre's 25th anniversary production of American Stage in the Park, April 21 thru May 16. Pay What You Can nights are April 21 and 22. April 21 will also be a dog friendly night (patrons can bring their pet dogs on a leash). Gala Under the Stars will be April 23 (fundraiser event). HAIR is written by James Rado, Gerome Ragni and Galt MacDermot.

Overflowing with the timeless spirit of progress and hope for a better world, HAIR is the story of a group of young Americans searching for love and peace during the Vietnam War. With a groundbreaking rock score featuring such classics as Aquarius, Let the Sunshine In, Good Morning Starshine, Hair and Where Do I Go?, HAIR depicts the birth of a cultural movement that changed America forever. Contains some mature language and themes.

Directed by Eric Davis, HAIR stars Jeremy Hays (Berger), Dick Baker (Woof), Clint Harris (Hud), Jonathan Hack (Claude), Stefanie Clouse (Jeanie), Darlene Hope (Dionne), Alex Covington (Crissy), Laura Hodos (Sheila), Bjorn Stowers (Steve), Alison Lea Bender (Suzannah), Luerne Herrera (Angela), Aleshea Harris (Diane), Brooke Bradley (Dancer), Sasha Jimenez (Dancer).

Performances and ticket prices are as follows:
Performances are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 8 p.m.

Tickets prices for general admission lawn seats are $11 at the box office and $13 at the event for Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday performances and $14 at the box office and $16 at the event for Friday and Saturday performances. Reserved chair seating is $27 and premium blanket seating is $21 for all performances.

April 21 is a Dog Friendly Night (patrons can bring their pet dogs on a leash).
Pay What You Can nights are April 21 and 22.
Gala Under the Stars will be April 23 (fundraiser).

American Stage in the Park is performed outdoors at Demens Landing Park, located on the corner of 1st Avenue North and Bayshore Boulevard SE in downtown St. Petersburg, FL. The box office is located at 163 3rd Street North in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg.
