Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced casting today for the moving, true story, The Diary of Anne Frank, their next production in the Quadracci Powerhouse.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater's 2012/13 Season kicks off with the wacky, award-winning musical comedy, Gutenberg! The Musical! The play is written by Scott Brown and Anthony King with original Music Direction and Arrangements by T. O. Sterrett. and will be directed by Rep Associate Artist Laura Gordon, who directed last season's delightful production of In the Next Room or the vibrator play. Gutenberg! The Musical! features comedic actor and Rep Associate Artist Gerard Neugent, former Milwaukee Rep Acting Intern Eric Damon Smith and frequent Rep collaborator Musical Director/Pianist Paul Helm. Gutenberg! The Musical runs in the Stackner Cabaret from August 24 - October 14, and opens tonight, August 26.

In 1450, in Mainz, Germany, Johann Gutenberg invented the printing press; in 2012, in Nutley, New Jersey, Bud and Doug wrote a big, splashy musical about him, the evil monk trying to stop him and the beautiful girl who loved him. They may not have a cast, an orchestra or a clue, but with an unending supply of enthusiasm, they're pitching their hilarious, 16-song epic to Broadway producers who just might fulfill their bright-eyed ambitions! Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced today that it will grow its Artistic Family to 19 Associate Artists. This new creative initiative will 'build upon the indelible legacy of The Rep's Acting Company, expanding to include directors, writers, designers and musicians and actors, all of whom will be called Milwaukee Repertory Theater Associate Artists.'

Nine of the most respected actors in America, representing nine of the nation's premier regional theatres, have just been selected for the prestigious Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship Program, a widely acclaimed national program to serve regional theatre actors and the future of American theatre.

The Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship Program has announced that Barry Edelstein will mentor this year's fellows. Edelstein will replace the late Lynn Redgrave. This year's retreat will run from July 11 to July 18 and will focus on Shakespeare.

Nine of the most respected actors in America, representing nine of the nation's premier regional theatres, have just been selected for the prestigious Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship Program, a widely acclaimed national program to serve regional theatre actors and the future of American theatre.

The Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship Program has announced that Barry Edelstein will mentor this year's fellows. Edelstein will replace the late Lynn Redgrave. This year's retreat will run from July 11 to July 18 and will focus on Shakespeare.

Now through May 9, The Rep will be presenting Route 66, an all-new production, featuring some of the most popular songs of the road. The cast includes Danny Calvert, Adam Estes, Zachary Dylan Robbins, and Justin Robinson.
