The Theatre @ Boston Court presents Bars and Measures, A National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere written by Idris Goodwin and directed by Weyni Mengesha. Bars and Measures is presented on the Main Stage at Boston Court Performing Arts Center in Pasadena, CA. Previews begin September 15. Opening night is September 24and performances are scheduled to run through October 23, 2016.

Tickets are now available for Forward Flux's productions of THE WEDDING GIFT by Chisa Hutchinson (West Coast premiere), and THE SUMMER HOUSE by Sarah Bernstein (World premiere), playing September 20th - October 8th at Gay City Arts (517 E Pike St, Seattle, WA 98122). For the second year in a row, Forward Flux will present two new plays in the same theatre, allowing audiences to choose one, or see both in one night with show times at 7pm and 9pm. Each play runs around 75mins with no intermission (as it should be).

Casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for the Signature Theatre production of The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World, by Pulitzer Prize-winner Suzan-Lori Parks and directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz.

After a nationwide search, the Hangar Theatre announces the appointment of Michael Barakiva as Artistic Director. His tenure will begin immediately as he transitions from Interim to full-time Artistic Director. Michael will be the Hangar's first full-time, in residence Artistic Director.

The fourth play in Circle Theatre's 35th anniversary season is The Taming, Lauren Gunderson's all female "power-play". This raucous political comedy will have both parties laughing in the aisles. Hilarity ensues when two political opposites wake up and discover themselves locked in a hotel room with a beauty queen. Following her past Circle productions of Exit, Pursued By A Bear (2013) and I and You (2015), The Taming brings to the stage the startling humor and rich roles for women that Ms. Gunderson skillfully creates.

Brimmer Street Theatre Company has announced its upcoming production of And Then They Fell, a new play by Tira Palmquist, directed by BSTC company member Amy K. Harmon at the Atwater Village Theatre. There will be two preview performances on Thursday, September 8, and Friday, September 9 at 8pm. Opening is set for Saturday, September 10 at 8pm and the strictly limited engagement will run through October 2 only.
