The national tour of Roundabout Theatre Company's ANYTHING GOES, the new Broadway revival of Cole Porter's timeless classic musical theatre masterpiece, will make its Orange County premiere tonight, September 24 - 29 at Segerstrom Center for the Arts as part of the Curtain Call Series.

Center Theatre Group recently announced that Justin Bartha would be joining the cast of Neil Simon's 'The Sunshine Boys' at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre replacing the previously announced David Krumholtz who needed to leave the production for personal reasons.

Irina Brook continues her father Peter's tradition at La MaMa with Shakespeare's Sister (or La Vie Materielle), which adapts Virginia Woolf's A Room Of One's Own and Marguerite Duras' La Vie Materielle. Adapted and directed by the younger Brook, the work is set at a fantasy dinner party, where five women prepare the cuisine while singing, dancing and discussing their place in the world. La MaMa will present the New York Premiere today, September 20 - October 6 at the Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 East 4th Street).

Signature Theatre will present an evening of cocktails and a special one-night-only concert starring one of Broadway's living legends, Betty Buckley, on Monday, September 30 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd Street) to support the Legacy Program in honor of Horton Foote. Buckley will be singing some of musical theatre's most iconic songs, including songs she's sung in her sold-out national concert appearances. The Stella Adler Studio of Acting is excited to announce a one-night-only opportunity to see two of Off Broadway's most celebrated shows, Lemon Andersen'sCounty of Kings and Michael Milligan's Mercy Killers, as part of the Harold Clurman Festival of the Arts. The performances will be followed by a discussion with Mr. Andersen and Mr. Milligan that will be moderated by Teresa Eyring, Executive Director of Theater Communications Group. Andersen and Milligan stand out in the theater world as examples of artists who react to challenges in their lives by writing and performing in meaningful theater pieces.

San Diego's newest theatre group Different Stages opens their second production of the the season with 'The Dixie Swim Club' written by Jones, Hope and Wooten. Having just closed their season opener 'Burn This' by Lanford Wilson this five woman comedy swims into The Hall at Swedenborg Church October 12 and playing through October 26.

Theatre22's inaugural production will be 5th of July by Lanford Wilson, directed by Julie Beckman, opening October 4, 2013.

For the second year in a row, the UH School of Theatre & Dance has been named 'Best College Theater' in the Houston Press' Theater Awards. Faculty and students will accept this honor during the official awards ceremony Aug. 26 at Phoenicia MKT Bar (located in downtown Houston).

The Stella Adler Studio of Acting's Harold Clurman Laboratory Theater Company has announced that Michael Milligan's Mercy Killers is the recipient of The Scotsman Fringe First Award at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Milligan's one-man play is inspired by America's horror stories of the uninsured, many of whom suffer financial tragedies on top of chronic illnesses. The festival performance featured the debut of Mercy Killers outside of the U.S.

Two years into its second half-century, La MaMa, under the artistic direction of Mia Yoo, continues the omnivorous work of its founder, the late Ellen Stewart. The institution's fall 2013 season is a mixture of established artists and forms La MaMa has long supported (Lee Breuer, Dario D'Ambrosi, puppetry) and celebrated artists and programs new to La MaMa (Irina Brook, Chiori Miyagawa and Alice Reagan, Pascal Rambert, Maureen Fleming, Dan Fishback and Max Steele, and many others).
