La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in association with Toronto's One Little Goat Theatre Company presents the New York premiere of Ritter, Dene, Voss, a 'misanthropic comedy' by celebrated Austrian author, Thomas Bernhard. Directed by One Little Goat's Artistic Director, Adam Seelig, Ritter, Dene, Voss runs from September 23 to October 10, 2010 in a limited engagement at La MaMa e.t.c.'s First Floor Theatre, located at 74A East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue & the Bowery in NYC. The production officially opens on September 23.

Producer Ken Davenport tells Variety today that he's secured the rights and is aiming to bring Godspell back to Broadway during the 2010-2011 season. The last attempt to bring back to the show, in fall of 2008 with different producers failed to secure needed funding and fell through.

Ellen Stewart, founder and artistic director of the East Village's La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club, has long been deemed the heart and soul of the theatre space. Over the decades since opening La MaMa in 1961, she has been the main presence in the club and chief supporter of its artisits. In her 13 years as artistic director of Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Sharon Ott led the company to new artistic heights, national prestige, and a well-deserved Tony Award. Now, after a 12-year absence, she returns with a gripping production of Fyodor Dostoevsky's classic Crime and Punishment.
