The following are SARTA's upcoming events.

Artistic director Jackie Maxwell and producer of the Shaw Festival announced the Shaw Festival's 2010 program this weekend. Hosted by Niagara-on-the-Lake, the festival, which operates in four venues in Ontario Canada features plays by Shaw and his contemporaries, as well as plays about the period in which he lived.

Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre's second production of the season is MAN OF LA MANCHA, presented in association with Michael James. Opening night is 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 18 at the No Exit Cafe.

Broadway veteran Anne Kerry Ford will bring her talents to two prestigious cabaret rooms singing Kurt Weill with musical director John Boswell, as part of the fall cabaret season on both coasts.

For theatre lovers who want something old and something new, South Puget Sound's Resident Professional Theatre, Centerstage has something for everyone. The 2009-2010 Season is off to a stellar start with a brand new musical: Carl Sagan's CONTACT running September 24 - October 18 2009.

The Coterie, a new downtown company devoted to developing contemporary music theater works, will launch with a concert at Joe's Pub on September 21st, 2009 at 9:30pm.

Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular is hosting the first annual Phantom Fans Week through Sunday, September 20th. This unprecedented gathering of all things Phantom will give fans from around the globe insider access to the show like never before. The culmination of Phantom Fans Week on Saturday will be a keynote address from Tony Award-winning director of PHANTOM, Hal Prince. Prince will talk about his life in theatre, his work with Andrew Lloyd Webber and his reasons for revisiting his classic PHANTOM 20 years later and adapting it for Las Vegas.

Having directed and produced over 50 Broadway productions, Hal Prince has left an indelible mark in the New York theatre history books. He set foot on the scene directing his first musical in 1955, the Tony Award-winning The Pajama Game. In the coming decades, Prince would collaborate with some of Broadway's legends, including Stephen Sondheim, John Kander and Fred Ebb and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Manhattan Theatre Club is pleased to announce guests and dates for the upcoming sessions of After Words, the popular discussion panels held after selected Saturday matinees at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

South Coast Repertory kicks off the 2009-10 Season with Putting It Together, a compilation of Stephen Sondheim songs, that the composer put together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, creating a narrative set at a cocktail party in an elegant Manhattan condo. The non-traditional musical, led by Broadway and television star Harry Groener, has a cast of five (a glamorous but slightly jaded couple, a starry-eyed younger couple and a savvy observer) who sing more than 30 songs that reflect their lives, lifestyles and moods of the moment. Some of the songs will be familiar, some less so, a few were even cut from their original musical scores, but they are all sophisticated, smart and drop-dead droll. All, in other words, Sondheim.

The 2009 Regional Theatre Tony Award winning-Signature Theatre presents the world premiere theater event First You Dream': The Music of Kander & Ebb, September 10 through 27, 2009. A tribute to Broadway's most celebrated songwriting partnership - from Cabaret to Chicago to Curtains - Signature pulls out the stops with Broadway's Heidi Blickenstaff, James Clow, Norm Lewis, Julia Murney, Matthew Scott, and Eleasha Gamble and a 19-piece orchestra, plus staging and set design by Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer and choreography by Karma Camp.
