Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean - the first professional revival of Ed Gracyzk's play began its run this past weekend thanks to Regeneration Theatre. Running the gamut of hot button topics, Jimmy Dean explores transgenderism, breast cancer, religion, infertility, unprotected sex, alcoholism, and psychoses, to name a few. Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean - Ed Gracyzk's play, set in a West Texas town in the mid-70s - celebrates the power of friendship and acceptance to overcome even the darkest moments in our lives. Never revived on Broadway after a short-lived run directed by Robert Altman, Regeneration is excited to bring this ground-breaking work back to New York City. International director, composer and Pulitzer Prize-nominee Christopher Martin (also Founding Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company where he directed nearly 100 productions) directs a NYC revival of the Harold Pinter play OLD TIMES, which will run tonight, November 25th, through December 11th at the 'White Space' at Alchemical Theatre Laboratory (104 West 14 St.).
