Call it "The Blended Burger Project: Home Edition." This month, Blue Apron, known for delivering incredible meal experiences, is offering customers a special mushroom and beef blended burger to honor the James Beard Foundation's popular, perennial Blended Burger Project.

A one-hour special from the James Beard Foundation (JBF) and Intersport, “JBFA: Stories from the 2018 James Beard Awards,” showcasing the prestigious James Beard Awards for culinary excellence in a way that has never been seen before on network television – through the lens of a documentarian – will premiere on The ABC Television Network, SUNDAY, JUNE 24 (4:00–5:00 p.m. EDT/3:00–4:00 p.m. PDT).

The long-term partnership is a result of past successes of the unique travel-culinary program, which hand-picks acclaimed culinary experts to share their knowledge of cuisines of the world with travelers, and showcases exclusive recipes and experiences on sailings across Windstar's fleet of six elegant ships. The relationship began in 2016 and grew in 2017 into an exclusive partnership naming Windstar the Official Cruise Line of the James Beard Foundation, a title that embodies the line's commitment to elevated epicurean experiences around the world.

The James Beard Foundation (JBF) is challenging restaurants and diners nationwide to reach for a better burger this summer a blended burger which adds at least 25 percent earth-friendly mushrooms into the patty. The Blended Burger Project kicked off on May 29 with more than 350 restaurants participating across 45 states, from fine dining to chain operators.

In recognition of the increased interest in all types of careers now available in the culinary arts, the James Beard Foundation (JBF) announced today that it is adding a new program to its existing JBF Scholarship Program. The new JBF National Scholars Program will award scholarships to 10 candidates from across the U.S. who aspire to leadership roles in food science, food studies, and business, as well as the culinary arts and hospitality.
