The Town Hall presented From Moses to Mostel: A History of The Jews (According to Musical Theater), a premiere chronological history of the Jewish people as depicted on stage and in song and Broadwayworld was there. Hosted by comedian/actor/singer Robert Klein and written by playwright Glen Berger, From Moses to Mostel also featured musical director Frank London and an ensemble of special guests, including The Klezmatics, performing music from Broadway, off-Broadway, Yiddish Theatre and more.

DVORAK IN AMERICA with Czech Marionettes to Play La MaMa, 3/10-27

'The New World Symphony: Dvorak in America' is a puppet and object theater work examining the influence of African-American and Native American music upon the great 19th-century Czech composer Antonin Dvorak (1841-1904). The piece is written and directed by Vit Horejš and performed by Czechoslovak American Marionette Theatre. It traces how Dvorak helped America accept its beautiful multicultural musical traditions by his enthusiasm for African-American and Native American music during his short but influential time in the USA. La MaMa Theatre will present the play's world premiere run March 10 to 27, 2016 in its Ellen Stewart Theatre, 66 East 4th Street (East Village). Composer and Musical Director is saxophonist James Brandon Lewis.

Pig Iron to Host Annual Fundraiser, 2/5

Each year, Pig Iron Theatre Company welcomes audiences back to the Troc for an unbelievable night of music, dance, wild theatrics, and more with each incarnation of its annual benefit. This year, LA VIE BO-HAM, the annual For the Love of Pig Iron bash will take over the Trocadero, Friday, February 5 at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $30, Premium Seating is $100 and VIP Seating is $200. The Trocadero is located at 1003 Arch Street. Tickets are available online at http://pigiron.ticketleap.com/la-vie-boham/.

CAMT to Present THE NEW WORLD SYMPHONY: DVORAK IN AMERICA

Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre (CAMT) has created 'The New World Symphony: Dvorak in America,' a play chronicling the American years (1892-1895) of Czech composer Antonin Dvorak, during which he produced a flurry of 'American' works. This puppet theater work is rich in classical and original music (played live!) and dramatizes one of the most significant cultural exchanges in American history. GOH Productions and Dvorak-American Heritage Association (DAHA) will present the piece as a work in progress January 30 and 31, 2016 at Bohemian National Hall, 321 East 73rd Street (Upper East Side). This production is preparatory to the play's upcoming world premiere run, which will be presented by La Mama Experimental Theatre, 66 East 4th Street (East Village), six weeks later: from March 10 to 27, 2016 (see more info below). Adrienne Haan to Make Carnegie Hall Debut with TEHORAH This October

International Chanteuse Adrienne Haan, one of Europe's and America's most electrifying concert and cabaret stars, will make her Carnegie Hall debut at Weill Recital Hall on October 29, 2015 at 8:00pm with her production of Tehorah. The concert is in celebration of the 50th anniversary of German-Israeli diplomatic relations. Patrons of the event include the German and Israeli Ambassadors to the United Nations, and Rabbi Arthur Schneier.
