Fresh off its critically-acclaimed world premiere at the Pasadena Playhouse, new comedy UNDER MY SKIN is poised to open Off-Broadway at New York's The Little Shubert Theatre this Spring. The play is written by Robert Sternin and Prudence Fraser, the creative forces behind such television hits as "The Nanny" and "Who's The Boss?"
Sundance Institute today announced the three projects and two artists-in-residence that will participate in its two-week (December 1-15) Theatre Lab for musical theatre and ensemble-generated projects, taking place for the third time at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA). Under the supervision of Artistic Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the Lab is one of the Theatre Program's five annual development opportunities for theatre artists around the world.
The reading will feature Kate Baldwin, Carolee Carmello, Kathleen Chalfant, Mary Testa Donna Lynne Champlin, Jessica Grove?, Rebecca Luker, Charlotte Maltby, Luba Mason, Theresa McCarthy, Betsy Morgan, Isabel Santiago, and Carly Tamer. The reading is produced by Jacob S. Porter.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Retrop Productions have announced that JULIAN PO, the new musical with book and lyrics by Andrew Barrett and music by Ira Antelis, is the first show in the festival to be extended. Due to high demand for tickets, the five-performance run - scheduled between July 8 and 14, 2013 - now has an additional show added on Wednesday, July 10 at 5:00 PM. Sukie & Sue: Their Story began previews on April 21, and opening is set for tonight, April 28 at 8pm. The engagement will run through Sunday, June 3.
