Luke Bryan leads the AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS nominees with seven nominations; Lady Antebellum and Zac Brown Band each earned six nods; and Eric Church and Taylor Swift garnered five nominations.

A new concert experience awaits Detroit's country music fans at the 30th annual 99.5 WYCD Downtown Hoedown, presented by Ram Truck Brand, Arby's and Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort. 99.5 WYCD officially announced this year's lineup, led by four-time, 2011 ACM winner, Miranda Lambert, this morning on The All New Dr. Don Morning Show and simultaneously on www.wycd.com. The weekend-long event will move to a new location for the first time in 30 years, the secure, expansive grounds surrounding Comerica Park, and will be held tonight, June 8 through June 10, 2012.

The first thing that strikes you about Jewel as a performer is her incredible vocal range, and she began her performance at the Sheldon Concert Hall (June 6, 2010) with a sweetly rendered solo version of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'(also covered on her 2009 album 'Lullaby'), that acted as a sort of test run for the shimmering sonic qualities this hall provides for any artist who graces its stage. Suitably impressed by the sound, and the enthusiastic response the audience gave her, she strapped on one of her acoustic guitars and proceeded to regale the assembled crowd with a set that featured material both old and new, thoroughly pleasing longtime fans, while also promoting her latest work, 'Sweet and Wild'.
