Currently playing at the La Jolla Playhouse is The Nightingale, by the creative team behind the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening: Steven Sater (book and lyrics) and Duncan Sheik (music). Directed by Tony Award nominee Moises Kaufman (33 Variations, I Am My Own Wife), the production runs July 10 - August 5, 2012 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre. The theatre recently held an open discussion about the color-blind casting of the show, which has gotten attention amoungst the Asian-American community. Anchored in Love, A Musical Tribute will be performed Monday, January 30, 2012 at 9pm at The Triad Theater on 72nd Street. All proceeds of the night will be donated to Camp ANCHOR's building fund in honor of Jamie Malone, Paige Malone and Michael Mulhall. Jamie, Paige and Michael were counselors at Camp ANCHOR on Long Island and were in a fatal car crash in July of 2010.

Broadway Speaks OUT! hosted its 3rd annual A Very MARY Holiday gala on Thursday, December 8 at Playwrights Horizons. The event, hosted by Marti Gould Cummings, feature performances by Saycon Sengbloh, Bobby Cronin, Katie Thompson, Lauren Elder, Marty Thomas and his Divas, The Broadway Dolls, Stephanie Umoh and more.

The musical will reopen on August 3rd at their new home, the brand new MMAC (pronounced 'Mack') Theatre , 248 West 60th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and 11th Avenue.

Remy will play the role of Strawberry, originated by Hayley Podschun, who departs the cast following performances on Wednesday, February 2nd.
