Terrence McNally's MOTHERS & SONS Begins 2/6 at Philadelphia Theatre Company

Philadelphia Theatre Company's continues its 40th Anniversary season with the Tony Award-nominated play Mothers and Sons by Terrence McNally February 6-March 8. Directed by Wendy Goldberg, the cast features Hugh Kennedy, Emmy Award-winning actress Michael Learned, James Lloyd Reynolds, and Patrick Gibbons and Jacob D. Wilner in alternating performances.

Obie Winner Eric Ting Joins Cincinnati Playhouse's Associate Artists Program

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Artistic Director Blake Robison announced today that Obie Award-winning director Eric Ting will be added next season to the theatre's Associate Artists program, which was launched by Robison in 2013 for his second season at the Playhouse. Ting will join current associate artists Timothy Douglas, Michael Evan Haney and KJ Sanchez, who have served the Playhouse in that capacity for the past two years.

Philadelphia Theatre Company to Present OUTSIDE MULLINGAR, 11/28-12/28

Philadelphia Theatre Company's continues its 40th Anniversary season with the Tony Award-nominated play Outside Mullingar by John Patrick Shanley November 28-December 28. Directed by Mary B. Robinson, the cast features Beth Dixon, David Howey, Anthony Lawton, and Kathleen McNenny.

University of Texas at Austin to Showcase New Plays in UTNT, 12/3-7

The University of Texas Department of Theatre and Dance at Austin presents UTNT (UT New Theatre), December 3-7 at the Lab Theatre. Now in its eighth iteration, this annual showcase brings to stage dynamic works by third-year Master of Fine Arts Playwriting candidates Patrick Shaw, Eva Suter, Diana Lynn Small and Brian Kettler. Curated by Steven Dietz and Cara Phipps, these new stories explore a prodigal daughter's return, mysteries at a school, a fight for humanity, and a stranger's arrival prompting unexpected discoveries.

Playwrights of New York & Bush Theatre Announce New Partnership

Playwrights of New York (PoNY) and the Bush Theatre in London have announced a new partnership: in 2014-15, they will pilot the Playwrights of New York Residency at the Bush Theatre. 2013 PoNY Fellow Kimber Lee will be the first PoNY Resident at the Bush.

Lincoln Center Theater Adds Douglas Carter Beane Play, Musical by GREAT COMET OF 1812 Creator Dave Malloy to 2015 Season

Lincoln Center Theater has announced two new upcoming productions: SHOWS FOR DAYS, a new play by Douglas Carter Beane, to be directed by Jerry Zaks; and the LCT3 production of PRELUDES, a new musical by Dave Malloy, to be directed by Rachel Chavkin. SHOWS FOR DAYS, marks the return of both playwright Douglas Carter Beane (The Nance) and director Jerry Zaks (The House of Blue Leaves, Anything Goes, Six Degrees of Separation) to Lincoln Center Theater, will begin previews Thursday, June 4 and open on Monday, June 29 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. PRELUDES, the first musical to be produced by LCT3 in the Claire Tow Theater, will run from Saturday, May 23 through Sunday, July 19. Opening night is Monday, June 15.
