The Boston engagement of JERSEY BOYS set a new box office record at the Shubert Theatre, grossing $1,313,979 for the week ending August 2, 2009. The previous record of $604,396.75 was held by Riverdance. JERSEY BOYS opened to rave reviews on Wednesday, July 29 and it will play through Saturday evening, September 26.

The National Tour of JERSEY BOYS will play its 1,000th performance tomorrow, Saturday, May 30 at 2pm. The JERSEY BOYS National Tour opened to rave reviews in San Francisco on December 1, 2006, played a record-breaking run in Los Angeles and is still breaking house records in cities across North America. The tour is currently playing at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta where it began May 27 and will run through June 21, 2009.

JERSEY BOYS broke the Broward Center for the Performing Arts' house record in Fort Lauderdale for the week ending May 3, grossing $1,568,290.00 and topping the previous record of $1,463,925.00.

James Barbour (Tale of Two Cities) and Kerry O'Malley (White Christmas) will join the cast of Broadway Musicals of 1924 on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd. The Town Hall (Executive and Artistic Director Lawrence Zucker) is pleased to kick off the ninth season Broadway By The YearTM, known for great singing and spectacular Broadway dancing. The series is created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall. Broadway Musicals of 1924 will be directed by Jeffry Denman and will also star previously announced Broadway by the YearTM favorites Marc Kudisch and Sarah Jane McMahon. The Denver Center Theatre Company has announced casting for the 2009 Colorado New Play Summit readings, which includes top talent from Denver and across the country.
