HERE proudly presents CasablancaBox, a HERE Resident Artist Production, as part of its 2016-2017 producing season.  Written by Sara Farrington and directed by Reid Farrington, this original multi-media play will have 23 performances, in a premiere production, April 5 - 29 at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, just below Spring Street).

As previously announced, Honorary Chair for the event is Tony Award-winning actress, singer and dancer Chita Rivera and noted theatre journalist Peter Filichia returns as Master of Ceremonies for the evening.

The One Minute Play Festival returns to the New Ohio for the 3rd Annual New York City Indie Theatre One Minute Play Festival - with part of the proceeds to benefit the New Ohio's new play and artist residency programming.

The award-winning Project Y Theatre Company, in collaboration with EAG's Open Space Grant, will present a new work of devised theatre, 'Landmarks & TRANSformations.' created by an ensemble of LGBTQ artists, writers, performers, and activists, tonight, February 18, and February 19, 23, 24, & 25, at the Episcopal Actors' Guild, 1 East 29th Street, NYC.

Asolo Rep kicks off its winter repertory season with THE GREAT SOCIETY, Pulitzer Prize-winner Robert Schenkkan's gripping political drama that chronicles the second chapter of Lyndon Baines Johnson's presidency. Asolo Rep is proud to be the only theatre in the country granted the rights to produce THE GREAT SOCIETY during the 2016-17 season. The sequel to last season's box office record-breaking production of All the Way will be directed by Nicole A. Watson. THE GREAT SOCIETY previews January 11 and 12, opens January 13 and runs in rotating repertory through April 2 in the Mertz Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade will present a new monthly play development series, New York Madness on the last Sunday of every month, beginning Sunday, September 25 at 8pm at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery).

We discuss what we're looking forward to at the 20th annual New York International Fringe Festival. Jose, Jack, Liz and Lindsay describe the weird, sincere, and wacky one-person shows, musicals, and dramas that caught our attention among the nearly 200 shows at this year's festival. Fringe NYC runs August 12-28, 2016 at 16 venues across lower Manhattan (and Central Park). Tickets are only $18/show.
