The Rep To Host Public Memorial For Their Late Associate Artistic Director 9/14

A memorial event for Susan Gregg will be held at the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts (130 Edgar Road, Webster Groves) on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 4 pm. The event is free and open to the public, as friends and colleagues from St. Louis and across the nation gather to share memories of Ms. Gregg's life and work.

NYTW to Present I GOT SICK THEN I GOT BETTER Starting Sep. 14

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that I Got Sick Then I Got Better, written and performed by Jenny Allen, and directed by James Lapine and Darren Katz, will play performances on four consecutive Mondays beginning Monday, September 14, at 8pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery. The play will run through Monday, October 5.

The Irish Repertory Theatre begins its 2009-2010 Off-Broadway season with THE EMPEROR JONES -- Eugene O'Neill's powerful classic about the charismatic Brutus Jones, a self proclaimed emperor of an island nation, who attempts to flee the angry natives and his personal demons -- with previews to begin October 7, prior to its official press opening October 18 at The Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) in Manhattan.

Kevin Kline Awards Take Applications for New Judges

The staff and board of the Kevin Kline Awards, given for outstanding achievement in professional theatre in the greater St. Louis area, are accepting applications for judges. Applications will be accepted until October 2nd, 2009.

Tonya Pinkins To Star In BLACK PEARL SINGS at Ford's Theatre 9/25-10/18

The Ford's Theatre 2009-2010 season opens with 'Black Pearl Sings!' by Frank Higgins, September 25-October 18, 2009. Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins makes her Ford's Theatre debut in the title role with Erika Rolfsrud as Susannah. Jennifer L. Beginning Tuesday, August 25th, Mr. Harner will succeed Mr. Cromer who departs the company to begin rehearsals for his Broadway directorial debut this fall with Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs and Broadway Bound.
