The staff and board of the Kevin Kline Awards, given for outstanding achievement in professional theatre in the greater St. Louis area, are accepting applications for judges. Applications will be accepted until October 2nd, 2009.
We will be selecting approximately 20 judges to join our pool and begin evaluating productions in January of 2010.A Kevin Kline judge:
* Has a variety of theatrical experience as both a practitioner and a viewer.
* Can analyze and assess individual aspects of a production and the production as a whole.
* Has an enthusiasm for the variety of theatrical venues and the various styles of production available in St. Louis.
* Is not an Artistic Director of one of our constituent theatres.
* Is not a reviewer or critic that creates content for public consumption in print, on radio/TV, or on the internet.
If you think you match this profile, we look forward to receiving your application!
Judges will evaluate between 12 and 20 shows per year, will receive 2 comps for each show they evaluate, and will be given at least three weeks notice for each production they judge. Judges do not get to choose which shows they evaluate; the assignments will be random. Judges will be asked to serve a three-year rotating term, with 1/3 of the judges rotating out of the pool at the end of each year.
