HIGH Heads to Broadway's Booth with Turner; Previews 3/25, Opens 4/19

Producers Leonard Soloway, Chase Mishkin, Terry Schnuck, Ann Cady Scott, Timothy J. Hampton, James & Catherine Berges, The Shubert Organization and The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis announce two-time Golden Globe® winner, Academy Award® & Tony Award® nominee Kathleen Turner will return to Broadway this spring in Matthew Lombardo's new play HIGH, directed by Rob Ruggiero. HIGH will begin previews on Friday, March 25 and open officially on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street).

Ken Page Comes To Pepperdine University 1/21

Ken Page, who won a Drama Desk Award for his role in the Tony-winning musical Ain't Misbehavin' and whose commanding presence and rich baritone voice have graced both stage and screen, performs a solo concert at Pepperdine University's Smothers Theatre in Malibu at 8 p.m. on Friday, January 21.

The Acting Company Presents JUNE MOON, 1/24

The Acting Company will present a staged reading of George S. Kaufman and Ring Lardner's 1929 hit musical June Moon filled with fun, frolic and hit songs such as Button Up Your Overcoat. Tony-winner John Rando (Urinetown, The Dinner Party, The Wedding Singer) will direct Kaufman's great grandson, James Patrick Cronin (Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival and National Comedy Theatre) and a cast of Broadway regulars including six Acting Company Alums at the Mainstage Theater at Playwrights Horizons at 7pm, Monday, January 24. Tickets for the benefit evening are $35 and $60 and include a reception with the cast following the performance.

Arena Stage Presents OKLAHOMA! 10/22-12/26

As Arena Stage begins a new life in its renovated home at the Mead Center for American Theater in Southwest D.C., it opens its inaugural season with a classic American musical that similarly embraces life on a new frontier. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! is the first production at the Mead Center and features an all-star cast under the direction of Artistic Director Molly Smith. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! runs October 22-December 26, 2010 in the Fichandler Stage.

RIALTO CHATTER: Turner to Bring HIGH to Bway in 2011?

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) presents Matthew Lombardo's High, starring movie and stage actress Kathleen Turner and directed by Rob Ruggiero. This riveting and powerful production will be performed on the Browning Mainstage of the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, 130 Edgar Road (on the campus of Webster University), Webster Groves, October 13 through November 7, 2010. After its St. Louis run, High will move to Broadway in early 2011.
