The Hipgnosis Theatre Company proudly presents William Shakespeare's Macbeth, one of his best-known and darkest works, directed by John Castro. Macbeth runs from April 3 to 19, 2009 in a limited engagement at the Clemente Soto Velez Center (Flamboyan Theater), located at 107 Suffolk Street, between Rivington & Delancey, in NYC. Official opening is April 3. The play follows on the heels of the company's acclaimed 2008 production of Bertolt Brecht's The Caucasian Chalk Circle, which received a 2008 NY Innovative Theater Award nomination for Outstanding Production Of A Play.

Barnes and Noble has announced the January Calendar of Music and Theatre Related Events at the Lincoln Triangle location. Barnes and Noble Lincoln Triangle is located at 66th St. and Broadway, New York City. All events are free and open to the public. For large events, B&N gives seating priority to those who purchase the promoted book or CD.

A New York revival of Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens will be presented by Sweet &Tart Productions in association with Summoners Ensemble Theatre at the Laurie Beechman Theater on October 10, 11, 17, and 19. In keeping with the company's mission of giving back to the community, 25 percent of all proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
