The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 14 categories and two additional special awards for the 2013 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00pm EST, and hosted by acclaimed stage and screen actors Aasif Mandvi and Maura Tierney. This year's event will once again benefit The Actors Fund.

StarStruck Theatre welcomes the Altar Boyz to rock the masses of all denominations by spreading the good news and soothing the troubled souls of Stuart through the glory of sweet pop music. Altar Boyz runs one weekend only at StarStruck Theatre tonight, March 21-24, 2013 and stars 2011 BroadwayWorld Award Winner Josh Rhett Noble as Matthew.

The producers of Peter and the Starcatcher, the five-time TonyAward-winning play, have announced the cast for the upcoming New World Stages production (340 West 50th St.), which will begin performances on Monday, March 18, 2013.

God has heard our prayers. He knew we were all longing for some hot guys to come and teach us all about his divine wisdom and make us laugh along the way. And so he has sent us the Seattle Musical Theatre production of 'Altar Boyz' to show us the path. Not only do they have some incredible voices, sexy gyrations and hilarious characters but these Boyz and director Troy Wageman managed to make the Boyz more personable and empathetic than I've seen in previous productions, making their story all the more meaningful.

Peter and the Starcatcher will follow Avenue Q, Rent and Million Dollar Quartet by opening off Broadway at New World Stages. According to Telecharge, the show will begin off-Broadway on March 18. Anticipating the initial run to be a huge success, Altar Boyz will reprise the final stop for a national 'Raise the Praise' tour of a Christian boy band in the Next Stage at Theatre Memphis tonight, January 10 - 20, 2013. The musical satire, Altar Boyz, features characters Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan and Abraham as they perform to save souls and keep count of the unsaved in the audience.
