Hennepin Theatre Trust today announced their 2009 holiday lineup running at the State and Pantages Theatres in November and December, from special concerts including Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Kenny G and Tony Sandler to returning local favorites Lorie Line, The Blenders and All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 with Theater Latté Da and Cantus. Kenny G, the Grammy Award-winning saxophonist with over 75 million albums sold worldwide, brings his holiday show to Hennepin Theatre Trust's State Theatre on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009. His sixth album, 'Breathless,' became the biggest selling instrumental record in U.S. history and featured the phenomenally popular single 'Forever in Love,' which won the smooth jazz composer and songwriter a 1994 Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition.
Family Opera Initiative To Host Pre-Premiere Event For Roven's GOODNIGHT MOON 8/6

Family Opera Initiative is excited to present the musical pre-premiere of Goodnight Moon, this year's Opera & Ice Cream performance. Goodnight Moon is a lullaby for singer and piano continuing composer Glen Roven's settings to music of celebrated children's author, Margaret Wise Brown. It will premiere next May at Carnegie Hall with the Buffalo Philharmonic. The pre-premiere musical event is executive produced by Family Opera Initiative founder Grethe Barrett Holby and produced by Ray Wetmore.

The Wilshire Theatre Beverly Hills, 8440 Wilshire Boulevard; Beverly Hills, CA 90211, will open its doors to the general public on Sunday, September 21, 2008, after being closed for several months for completion of Phase I of the historic venue's Revitalization Project.
