Lifetime has renewed its hit drama ARMY WIVES for a seventh season with a 13 episode order for a 2013 return, it was announced today by Rob Sharenow, Executive Vice President, Programming, of Lifetime Networks.

Army Wives, Lifetime's most successful series in the network's history, celebrates a series milestone when it airs its 100th episode today, August 5. The series, which launched in June of 2007, is currently in its sixth season, and has propelled Lifetime to be the No. 1 ad-supported cable network in the Sunday 10-11p time period among Women.

After a five week break, fans of Lifetime's hit drama Army Wives flocked to the first of more all-new episodes of its sixth season last night, when it averaged 3.3 million Total Viewers, a 10% increase versus its current season average.

Broadway star Patti LuPone and actress Anna Chlumsky will guest star on the television series Army Wives, TV Fanatics reports. LuPone will appear on the Lifetime show as a captain in the Army's Intelligence Division, while Chlumsky will play an Army wife whose husband is injured in Afghanistan.
