Once in a great while, an electric talent explodes onto New York's musical theatre scene, earning unanimous accolades from audiences and critics. This season, lightning hit with the debut of Kim Maresca in the leading role of Judy Denmark in Off-Broadway's RUTHLESS! THE MUSICAL. On November 17th, Kim took her act on the road, eight blocks north of RUTHLESS! to be exact, to make her Feinstein's/54 Below debut. KIM MARESCA: THE NEXT STAGE proved to be a triumphant sold-out musical evening, with a portion of the proceeds donated to Broadway Dreams. One of the highlights of the event was a surprise appearance by Broadway star Kelli Rabke who joined Kim onstage for a showstopping duet.

NJTV, New Jersey's public television network, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presented the first performance of the American Songbook at NJPAC series and BroadwayWorld was there. Performances will be taped before a live audience in NJPAC's Victoria Theater on Sunday, October 25 and Monday, October 26 for broadcast on NJTV, WLIW and THIRTEEN next year.
Grammy and Oscar-winning composer Stephen Schwartz has captivated millions of theatre lovers with his iconic songs from Broadway musicals such as Wicked, Pippin, and The Baker's Wife. He will perform solos as well as duos and trios with friends, spanning the course of his magnificent 40-year career in Stephen Schwartz and Friends, at Queensborough's Performing Arts Theatre (QPAC) on September 27 at 3 pm.

In the legendary club's heyday the guest list was a who's who from the world of entertainment - Andy Warhol, Liza Minnelli, Halston, Elizabeth Taylor, Mick Jagger, Diana Ross, Brooke Shields, John Travolta, Michael Jackson - and the music played kept them dancing all through the night. It was dancing through the night at 54 Below yesterday and Max at the entry door was much more accommodating than those guards at the 1970 Studio 54.
