YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU is the current production running at The New Theatre in Overland Park, Kansas. Dennis D. Hennessy directs the comedic play written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. James A. Misenheimer provides a fantastic set for the cast to operate in and Treva Farrell designed the choreography mainly performed by Katie Karel as Essie Carmichael.

The Unicorn Theatre production of Women Playing Hamlet currently runs on the Jerome Stage at the theater located at 3828 Main in Kansas City, Mo. William Missouri Downs wrote the Rolling World Premiere directed by Producing Artistic Director Cynthia Levin. Women Playing Hamlet is the second Rolling World Premiere for Downs who has won numerous playwriting awards. In his day all Shakespeare's characters were played by men, in Downs play four women play 19 parts, including male characters.
A world premiere comedy with an all-woman cast, Women Playing Hamlet, opens March 4 on the Jerome Stage at the Unicorn Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri. March 4, 5 and 6 are preview nights with opening night on Saturday March 7. Musical Theater Heritage closes out their 2014 season with two shows running in repertory: Oliver! and A Spectacular Christmas Cabaret. Beginning December 5 Oliver! runs on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays with matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday. A Spectacular Christmas Cabaret runs Mondays December 8, 15, and 22.
Nine of the finest voices in Kansas City Theater made their way to the stage of the Off Center Theatre on September 8 to appear on Musical Monday and presented the audience with a night that will not be forgotten. Musical Monday began with only a handful of entertainers, Tim Scott, Jeremy Watson, and Chad Gerlt among a few others, with no microphones performing for a small audience. Over the last six seasons, the popularity of the show has caused Musical Theater Heritage to add a second night Tuesday September 9 to the schedule.

By the Way, Meet Vera Stark opened on Saturday night June 7 at the Unicorn Theatre in Kansas City, Mo. The play written by Lynn Nottage takes place in 1930's Hollywood, where Vera Stark is a black housekeeper for a Hollywood starlet. Directed by Missy Koonce, Vera Stark lands a part in a movie starring her white boss Gloria Mitchell. What happens in the next two acts are the hilarious relationships of Stark, Mitchell, and the other characters in the cast over a 75-year journey.
