Acclaimed actor/director Tony Goldwyn will star as J.D. Sheldrake, with Tony Award winner Katie Finneran as Marge MacDougall, and Tony award nominee Brooks Ashmanskas as Mr. Dobitch, joining Emmy Award winner Sean Hayes and Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth in the musical comedy PROMISES, PROMISES at the Broadway Theater (1681 Broadway). Previews will begin Saturday, March 27th, 2010, at 8pm, with an opening night of Sunday, April 25th, 2010. The first-ever Broadway revival of PROMISES, PROMISES is produced by Broadway Across America (John Gore, Thomas B. McGrath, Beth Williams), Craig Zadan, Neil Meron, Candy Spelling, Pat Addiss and The Weinstein Company.

The New York Times reports that for tonight's performance of 'Love, Loss, and What I Wore' an absent Kristin Chenoweth will be replaced by Katie Finneran, who has previously appeared in the show. The press representative remarked that Chenoweth was out due to illness and is expected to return to the show shortly.

Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Michele Lee (Tale of the Allergist's Wife), Tony Award-winner Debra Monk (Curtains), Tracee Ellis Ross ('Girlfriends') and Casey Wilson ('Saturday Night Live') will join the rotating cast of Love, Loss and What I Wore. I can't say I've ever really associated important events in my life with what I was wearing. Oh sure, I remember the powder beige tux I wore to my 1977 senior prom (my date picked it out) but since moving to New York I think it's safe to just assume I was wearing black whenever anything significant happened. Not so for the ladies of Love, Loss and What I Wore, a show that my female guest assures me gives an accurate portrayal of how women tend to hold important memories in the stitches of their apparel. And though such sentiments may be foreign to my nature (or perhaps nurture) I found the ninety-minute evening warm, funny (often hilarious), cleverly written and terrifically performed.
