Actor and comedian Steve Rannazzisi will make his triumphant return to the Comix At Foxwoods stage in January 2014. From January 16 to 18, fans can take in shows nightly at 8 p.m., followed by a 10:30 p.m. 'Nasty' show on his final night in town.

FXX, the new entertainment basic cable channel from FX Networks, got off to a good start yesterday (Sept. 2) with Primetime and Total Day deliveries that bettered prior benchmarks by Fox Soccer Channel very wide margins across the board (note: FXX replaced Fox Soccer Channel on most cable and satellite systems). The network was paced by a Parks & Recreation Labor Day Marathon from 7:00 AM-midnight.

The third annual Celebrate Sundance Institute Los Angeles Benefit, celebrating artistry and visionary leadership in independent film. This year, the benefit will honor the life and work of beloved journalist and film critic Roger Ebert with the Vanguard Leadership Award in Memoriam, in recognition of his advocacy of independent cinema. The award will be presented by Sundance Institute President and Founder Robert Redford and accepted by Ebert's wife, Chaz Ebert. Kerry Washington will present Ryan Coogler with the Vanguard Award, Presented by Tiffany & Co. Coogler is a director and alum of the Sundance Institute Feature Film Program. His first feature film, Fruitvale Station, was selected for Sundance Institute's Screenwriters Lab and went on to win both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

Three young women - Sarah (Kate Bosworth), Abby (Katie Aselton) and Lou (Lake Bell) - get together for a private campout at one of the iconic settings of their childhood, an empty island off the coast of Maine, to renew their bond of sisterhood. They quickly learn, though, that the island is anything but empty, when they encounter three recently-returned servicemen, who have come to the island to hunt. A misunderstanding quickly turns to tragedy, and the three women soon find themselves the targets of the hunt. What started as a simple getaway to recall old times is now a race for survival as three ordinary woman must find extraordinary strength in order to beat the odds against violence and the elements.
FX Orders a Fifth Season of THE LEAGUE

FX has picked up a fifth season of its acclaimed comedy series The League, ordering 13 episodes, announced Nick Grad, Executive Vice President of Original Programming, FX Networks. The League season four finale airs tonight with back-to-back all new episodes at 10:30 and 11:00 PM ET/PT (see descriptions in bold below).
