The Morris Museum is pleased to announce that Sophie Tucker: Last of the Red Hot Mamas will open the Bickford Theatre's 2014/2015 season. Written by Richard Hopkins, Jack Fournier, and Kathy Halenda, the show will run in Morristown from October 2 through October 19, 2014.

Eric Hafen, Producing Artistic Director of the Morris Museum's Bickford Theatre, located at 6 Normandy Heights Road in Morristown, NJ, just announced the Bickford Theatre's 2014-2015 Season, four plays for the Main Stage Series and the "A La Carte Series" of three concerts and variety performances.

Two iconic female performers are remembered and honored in song and story at Florida Studio Theatre's Court Cabaret. The final show in FST's Summer Sidekicks Series, Somewhere Over the Rose: The Songs and Stories of Judy Garland and Bette Midler, opens August 5 and runs through August 31. The newest show in the Walnut Street Theatre's Independent Studio on 3 is SOPHIE TUCKER: THE LAST OF THE RED HOT MAMAS. On a basic level, the show is a musical revue, but it is so much more than that. The show features songs sung by Sophie Tucker, but it will make you laugh, warm your heart, and make you want to learn more about Sophie Tucker. As one of the most successful music revues created and developed at FST, Sophie Tucker has previously been shown to audiences at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Art Station, Centre Stage, New Repertory Theatre, Invisible Theatre, The Irish Classical Theatre and many more. The show now travels to delight audiences at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia.

FST's Hard Hats & Tails will be held Monday, March 5, 2012 at 1241 North Palm Avenue in Downtown Sarasota. Carol M. Poteat-Buchanan, one of FST's longtime supporters, will serve as the chair of the event.
