Marking its 11th year, the New York Comedy Festival (NYCF), in association with Comedy Central, announced its 2014 line-up today. The festival, spanning from November 5 - 9, will feature comedy's biggest stars performing in New York City's most prestigious venues, including the Beacon Theatre, Carnegie Hall, The Theater at Madison Square Garden and Town Hall.

GSN's inaugural season of SKIN WARS, an eight-episode, hour-long competition show that seeks to find the most talented and versatile body painters in the country, debuts tonight, Wednesday, August 6 at 9:00pm ET/PT (8pm CT).

Comedian Ray Romano will return to the Terry Fator Theatre at The Mirage in October with funnyman David Spade. Romano, best known for “Everybody Loves Raymond” and his recent appearances on NBC's “Parenthood,” will team up with Spade for the first time at The Mirage.

Dennis Hensley's The MisMatch Game returns to the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Renberg Theatre for two more of its riotously unpredictable performances on Friday and Sunday, August 8 and 10, 2014.

The COPA PALM SPRINGS presents Chicago, music and comedy legends Amy Armstrong and Freddy Allen for two performances, July 18 and 19 at 8:00 pm. Amy and Freddy have graced the stages coast-to-coast, both large and small, and in over 20 countries with their one-of-a-kind wit and musical prowess. They have had the pleasure of opening and sharing the spotlight with some familiar (and some not so familiar) names including Kathy Griffin, Mary Wilson and the Supremes, Phyllis Diller, Bea Arthur, Jennifer Holiday and Judy Gold to name a few. In 2009, Amy & Freddy were featured on national television on Entertainment Tonight as part of their work with the NBC reality show "America's Got Talent. They are also the proud multi-recipients of both the Gay Chicago Magazine "After Dark" and Chicago Free Press "Pressie" awards. I had the chance to chat with Amy and Freddy about their upcoming engagement at THE COPA and more - here are a few excerpts from that conversation:

The comedian recently had a recurring role on the hit AMC show 'Breaking Bad' and appeared in the Paul Feig film 'The Heat' alongside Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy.

Acclaimed musical director, Sirius XM Radio and Broadway star Seth Rudetsky will hold an exclusive auditioning master class for local performers. During the workshop, participants will learn all the tricks of auditioning for musical theater productions and how to get hired on Broadway.

Heralding the modern era of comedic improv which begat new generations of film, TV and stage talent, the Groundlings Theatre & School is proudly marking its 40th anniversary this May. The 30-day celebration brings back some classic Groundlings shows as well as the new main stage show, 40 Is the New Groundlings, opening today, May 2.
